Clear Braces: Invisalign

Invisalign® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners. The aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and almost invisible plastic worn over your teeth. As you wear them your teeth are gradually and gently shifted into place. There are no metal brackets or wires to tighten–you just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete.

With regular braces, you may experience pain, discomfort, mouth sores, injuries caused by the brace wires, tooth decay (from inadequate brushing and flossing), plaque buildup, tooth discoloration, tooth/bracket breakage, or difficulty eating. You are also typically asked to avoid foods such as popcorn, chips, bagels, hard-crusted bread, pizza crust, pretzel, nuts, certain candies…plus apples, carrots, corn on the cob, and more.

Invisalign effectively treats a wide variety of cases, including crowding, spacing, crossbite, overbite and underbite without the problems associated with braces.  It also allows you to eat whatever foods you enjoy and is removable whenever you like. This system lets you enjoy virtually invisible teeth-straightening and allows you to brush and floss your teeth normally for better periodontal health.
